Risk Leadership Network launches – enabling more effective collaboration between risk leaders

Working in the global risk community for more than 15 years, I’ve seen first-hand the benefits of cross-sector peer collaboration to enhance risk management.

Yet, despite this, I noticed that knowledge sharing among risk leaders tends to be informal, sporadic and, more often than not, restricted to sectors and locations.

Today, my business partner Tim Whitehouse and I are proud to announce the launch of Risk Leadership Network – the global corporate membership network for risk leaders and their teams.

When we devised the concept more than a year ago, we were looking for ways to make it easier for risk leaders to learn from and collaborate with peers in other companies, sectors and geographies.

Our ambition was and is to transform how risk professionals and their teams collaborate to advance risk management, help their firms make better decisions and ultimately drive performance and profitability.

With the generous input of many leading international risk managers, we researched, created and tested the main pillars of the service and today is the first stage in the realisation of that work.

Risk Leadership Network enables collaboration in 3 main ways:

  • Moderated virtual meetings and conference calls
  • Private messaging groups
  • Through our Intelligence platform – a searchable database of peer-contributed case-studies, tools and templates

These services are underpinned by the support of our Network Managers, who facilitate this.

The following video sums up how these services come together.

We would like to thank our Founder Members representing large corporates from the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, who like us, share a common commitment to enhancing risk management through knowledge sharing.

We would also like to extend our thanks to our Advisory Board for their invaluable guidance, our investors and, most notably, Incisive Media for their insights and expertise.

Last, but by no means least, to the Risk Leadership Network team in our main UK and Australia hubs.
