Custom benchmarks
A custom benchmark can be facilitated by the Risk Leadership Network team to provide peer comparisons and insights.
Some recent examples of custom benchmarks produced for members include:
A member organisation in the construction industry wanted to benchmark their approach to risk appetite reporting with other organisations in their sector.
We developed a bespoke report to answer their specific questions, including key data from other organisations in the construction industry.
A retailer wanted to benchmark their approach to risk assessments, specifically those on principal and enterprise risks.
We interviewed risk leaders at 8 organisations within the retail sector, and produced a bespoke benchmark to highlight the main commonalities and differences in approach.
A member in the mining industry was looking at revising their risk operating model, and how the risk team should be structured internally. They wanted to hear from other large, risk-mature organisations to benchmark the new approach.
We invited risk leaders at other organisations that met these criteria to complete our unique risk operating model online survey, to produce an anonymised report.
AI Horizon Scanner
Risk Leadership Network’s Horizon Scanner is our AI-driven horizon scanning system, and access is included in membership.
Risk Leadership Network's AI Horizon Scanner automates the identification and summary of global emerging risk data from hundreds of highly relevant and timely sources. The system is able to recognise and establish patterns across large datasets to draw conclusions that help inform business decision-making.
Created with a human-in-the-loop, the AI Horizon Scanner fuses the rapidness of AI with the experience of the network; all data is reviewed and validated by our analysts to ensure it's relevant and unbiased.
The intelligence is delivered to our members through a Quarterly Update (pdf), Interactive Dashboard and regular collaborations around the intelligence.

Built in response to a request from our members to improve the efficiency of risk reporting, it uses data from 190+ company annual reports each year since 2020 to enable you to gather and analyse external data on principal/material risks to inform your risk reporting strategy

Save time on identifying emerging risk trends with our interactive database of externally reported emerging risks.
Created for members who wanted to validate their approach to emerging risk reporting, it draws from 90+ company reports and 36+ industry reports.
Risk Maturity Self-Assessment
Many of our new members conduct our Risk Maturity Self-Assessment to help guide their risk agenda and roadmap. Developed to support our members and produced in collaboration with highly experienced risk practitioners, members receive:
A self-assessment report
A repeatable competency assessment over 10 categories (including Governance, Policy, Identification & assessment, Controls & assurance and Reporting & insights).
A cohort benchmark
To see how their maturity in the 10 areas compares to a requested sector (e.g. retail).
